1 Corinthians 1: 20-31

v. 25

"For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom,
and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength."

v. 30-31

"It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus,
who has become for us wisdom from God -
that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
Therefore, as it is written: 'Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."

Foolishness to the wise

The Good News of Jesus Christ still sounds very foolish to many.
This generation worships power & wealth.
Jesus came as a humble, poor servant, and he offers his kingdom
to those who have faith, not to those who have money
to buy it or all kinds of good deed to earn it.
This looks foolish to the world.
But Christ is our power, the only way we can be saved,
is to know Christ and follow his teachings.
Paul also emphasizes that the way to receive salvation
is so simple
that any person who wants to, can understand it.
So that no one can boast about their achievements.
There is nothing we can do to earn our salvation,
we need only accept what Jesus has already done!
