1 Corinthians 11:17-22

"In the things I tell you now I don't praise you. Your meetings hurt you more than they help you. First I hear that when you meet together as a church you are divided. And I believe some of this. It is necessary for there to be differences among you. That is the way to make it clear which ones of you are really doing right.

When you all come together, you are not really eating the Lord's Supper. Why? Because when you eat, each person eats without waiting for the others. Some people don't get enough to eat, while other people have so much that they become drunk. You can eat and drink in your own homes! It seems that you think God's church is not important. You embarrass those people that are poor. What should I tell you? Should I praise you for doing this? I don't praise you."

The Lord's Supper
Paul spoke about several topics that we can learn from
1. You have divisions or factions among you, which is good to be certain that the word of God is upheld amongst his people.

2. The manner & attitude of receiving the Lord's Supper is very important, it is to be done as a body of believers who join together in a memorial to honor Christ.

3. Eat & Drink at home, have reverence for God's church.

4. Do not bring shame to those who are poor or have nothing among you, by you poor manners.
