1Cornithians 10:14-31

"Everything is permissible" - but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible" - but not everything is constructive. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others.

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God - even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved. Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ."

Believer's Freedom

That is a huge phrase, EVERYTHING is permissible. In English class I remember the instructor saying that there a very few times we should ever use the words ALL or EVERYTHING. But right here in the bible it says, EVERYTHING! Then comes the following word BUT... So this is the freedom we have as a believer, to decide for ourselves.

Paul even gives us the tip on how to determine if our actions are in accordance with the will of God. Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it ALL for the glory of God. Keep this as a guiding principle in your lives and your will keep close to God.
