John 20:19-23

"On the evening of the first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, 'Peace be with you!' After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.

Again Jesus said, 'Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.' And with that he breathed on them and said, 'Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."

Several Points to Ponder

Read this carefully, "with the doors locked, Jesus came in!!!" AMAZINGLY he appears before his disciples and shows them his hands and side. Truly the greatest of all miracles, and only the disciples witnessed this. They were elated!!

Jesus tells them 2 times "Peace be with you." I had a mission and now you carry on the same mission, to tell others about the saving grace of the Lord God Almighty!

Jesus breathed on them, as he imparted the Holy Spirit upon his disciples. Only after Jesus died would the Holy Spirit appear, to fulfill the words Christ spoke.
