1 Corinthians 7:12-16

"To the rest I say (I, not the Lord) that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her. If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy because of her husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is , they are holy. But if the unbelieving partner separates, let it be so. In such cases the brother or sister is not enslaved. God has called you to peace. For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

Gracious God

When I became a Christian at 30, I was baptized and began walking in a new life. Surrendering the old one to the world and began to follow and applying the principals of God, through the writings in the Holy Word and lived out by the power of the Holy Spirit. One of my big concerns was for my husband's salvation. This passage was a comfort to me. A short time later he chose to be baptized also for the remission of his sins.

Because of God's mercy, we were able to raise our children in a Christian home. We gave them a foundation on which to build their lives centered on Christ. I love the verse that says that our children are holy. So keep that in mind when you are at your 'wits end' after a LONG day.

You are raising God's holy children with your holy spouse!

Isn't God good!!!
