Building a Better Me-1

This week in our Vacation Bible School the theme is building - construction - solid foundation. Of course the lessons are directed toward the children, but aren't we all to be like children? So for a one week's diversion from the book of Acts, I wanted to dig deeper into the importance of building a better me and then how to go about the process.

Psalm 127:1
Unless the Lord build the house, its builders labor in vain

Families establish homes and watchmen guard cities, but both these activities are futile unless God is with them. A family without God can never experience the spiritual bond God brings to relationships. I talking about love and forgiveness. Keep this in mind. . .Make God your highest priority, and let Him do the building!

Proverbs 14:1
The wise woman built her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

Wise women build their homes with knowledge from the Holy Scriptures. Their minds are equipped with the Word of God and their wisdom assists them in all the decisions they make throughout the day. Unlike a foolish woman who tears down her house with her own hands because of her destructive behavior. I will say it again. . . Make God your highest priority, and let Him do the building!
