Genesis 13:8-10

In preparation for the children's bible study on Sunday I once again was blessed by the powerful message.

Remember how Abram said to Lot, "Please let's not have any more quarrels between us or between our herders. After all, we are relatives. Isn't all this land yours also? Let's separate. Abram ( the elder) said to Lot,' If you go to the left, I'll go to the right, and if you go to the right, I'll go to the left.' Then Lot looked in the direction of Zoar as far as he could see. He saw that the whole Jordan Plain was well-watered like the Lord's garden or like Egypt.

After Lot left, the Lord said to Abram, "Look north, south, east and west of where you are. I will give all the land you see to you and to your descendants fro an indefinite period of time. "

Abram demonstrated that an unselfish attitude reaps great benefits with God and with mankind.

Think about a relationship that is important to you. How would it improve if you put each other first? Look for an opportunity in the coming week to put that other person first, and see if it changes anything. Commit to praying for that person and for God's help to keep your heart in the right condition - humble and loving.
