Romans 3:9-20

No One is Righteous
9What shall we conclude then? Are we any better? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin. 10As it is written:
"There is no one righteous, not even one;
11there is no one who understands,
no one who seeks God.
12All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one."
13"Their throats are open graves;
their tongues practice deceit."
"The poison of vipers is on their lips."
14"Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."
15"Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16ruin and misery mark their ways,
17and the way of peace they do not know."
18"There is no fear of God before their eyes."

19Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.

No One Is Righteous!
No Not One!!!

If you are like me, I say to myself every now and again, "I'm not too bad, am I???
I think I am a pretty good person. In reality it not necessarily the things I do, it is the things I don't do that are just as offensive to God.

We must remember who we are in His sight - worldly sinners. Don't deny that you are a sinner. Instead acknowledge that God is offering you and me a way to be right with Him. God, through Jesus his Son, has redeemed us and offers to forgive us if we return to him in faith.

In the Old Testament, there was no hope. The Jews knew the importance of circumcision, however the many laws they were to obey made it impossible to observe them all, no matter how hard they tried to be perfect.
