16Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. 17As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.
FAITH ALONE
Paul explains that Abraham had pleased God through Abraham's faith ALONE. Even before he had ever heard about the rituals that would become so important to the Jewish nation (circumcision). We too are saved by faith ALONE, plus nothing else!!!! It is not by loving God and doing good that we are saved. Neither is it by faith plus love, or by faith plus good deeds. We are saved only through faith in Christ, trustig him to forgive all our sins.
Seems too good to be true. That is how much God loves us and wants us to trust in Him.
Have a little faith!!!
