Love, Love, Love

"I may speak in the languages of humans and of angels. But if I don't have love, I am a loud gong or a clashing cymbal. I may have the gift to speak what God has revealed, and I may understand all mysteries and have all knowledge. I may even have enough faith to move mountains. But if I don't have love, I am nothing. I may even give away all that I have and give up my body to be burned. But if I don't have love, none of these things will help me."

1 Corinthians 13:1-3
God's Word Translation

**************

There is nothing more important than love. No spiritual gifts, no sacrifices, nothing is has greater value to our Almighty God. Love begins with me! In my relationships at home, my church, my workplace, my community.

Love comes naturally to some and it is a challenge to others. But I do know that when you have been loved, it is a natural response to love someone else. When we truely understand that God loved us FIRST, it should be a natural response to love God in return and follow in the footsteps of his son, Jesus Christ.

This summer, with your help, I want to expand my idea of how to love like Jesus. It will require digging into the life of Jesus and learning how he showed love and compassion. Let us challenge each other to go beyond our "ordinary" routine humdrum life and step out and truely love one another.
