Our society confuses love and lust. Unlike lust, God's kind of love is directed outward toward others, not inward toward ourselves!!!
It is utterly unselfish.
Patience is not natural. Endurance and hopeful forbearance requires placing another person or thing ABOVE your own interests.
Proverbs 14:29 states "A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays folly." I would assume that we could gain "GREAT UNDERSTANDING" from God's Word, I think they call that wisdom.
