Micah 5

v. 2-5

"But you, Bethlehem, Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
from ancient times.

He will stand and shepherd his flock
in strength of the Lord,
in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.
And they will live securely for then his greatness
will reach to the ends of the earth.
And he will be their peace."

Clear Prophecy
This chapter provides one of the clearest
OT prophecies of Christ's coming.
#1. He predicts Christ's birthplace hundred of years before Jesus was born.
#2 His origins of old referred to the fact that he has been alive forever!
#3.'He will be their peace,' relates to some of Christ's final words
'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.' John 14:27
Christ's peace is extaordinary,
He offers peace in the world and peace in our personal lives.
We receive assurance that He is with us at all times in every situation
