1 Peter 1:8-12

"Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the suffering of Christ and the subsequent glories.

It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look."

I love this time of year

We are in Branson right now, enjoying a quiet time. We have gone to several Christmas shows already and the people here are proud to proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord and He died for our sins. There is no holding back their faith and their praises to God for the birth of His only son Jesus Christ. It is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus around the world. The GREATEST gift that God could have given humanity.

Immanuel , God with us, has greater meaning this year than it did last year, as I grow in my faith and knowledge of the scriptures.

Stop and listen to the words of the Christmas carols, look for the way the Holy Spirit is present in different activities you are participating in. Allow God to use you to show the love of Christ in a new and meaningful way. This is not a magical holiday, it is a Holy season of reflection and rededication to the One who gave us such a precious and priceless gift.
